Artaban takes with him three precious gifts to present to the Messiah. For 33 years, Artaban and Orantes pursue Jesus, only to miss Him at every turn. Along the way, Artaban uses his gifts to help people in dire need. He now has nothing to present to the Messiah when he finds Him. The story culminates on Easter Sunday as Artaban, old and dying, finally encounters the new King, bringing peace to his final moments of life.
Mr. T5 Stars Out Of 5The Fourth WisemanDecember 19, 2014Mr. TThis has always been one of my favorite programs to watch. I first saw this back in 1987 and it really hit me with the way it was put together. The desire to find the Savior, the drive behind it, not giving up. But in a sense giving up his search as he felt it was too late. But God wasn't through with him yet. A very emotional ending was the highlight of the movie in my opinion. But in the meantime there were all of those interruptions of delays helping people along the way. Not the original intent of Artaban in his pursuit. But he handled them in stride. Really serving the Lord, but not realizing it. I wonder how many of these people who he served were Angels in disguise. These interruptions were the things that God placed in his path to test him to see how Artaban would handle it. Much like the good Samaritan missing the caravan that he was suppose to go with to give the Savior the gifts that he had. All along the way giving away the gifts, that were for the King, to help the poor and defenseless people that God put in his path. The constant negativeness of his servant because he had ulterior motives to hurry through the search for the King so he could get back home and get his freedom only to receive Christ before it was too late for him. The downcast and downtrodden leprose people that Artaban helped and lived with. All the time giving of his time, resources and love. This movie takes you through life, as the scriptures reveal it should be. Excellent movie. I would give it 5 stars
grammy5 Stars Out Of 5The Fourth Wise ManDecember 9, 2014grammyMy family and I enjoyed it very much. Inspiring, with just enough levity to show the true feelings of a frustrated servant on a quest he had not chosen.
