Author/Artist Review

Author: Hugh Poland

Tell us a little about yourself.  I have served as a minister in Texas churches for the past 20 years, and I'm a member of SABR (Society for American Baseball Research).

What was your motivation behind this project?  Steal Away is the book I've always wanted to read, but couldn't find anywhere, so I wrote it.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  A fun way to get into God's Word and gain spiritual application through some great baseball stories, many of which have never been told before.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I interviewed about 20 current and former major- league players, coaches, front-office personnel, and even an umpire for this project.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I'd love to hear how Steal Away has impacted your life. Contact me through Judson Press.
