Cranfield's scholarship is evident in this commentary on Romans. What is striking is his balance in presenting conflicting views without getting bogged down in spurious details. A knowledge of the Greek text is needed in order to use the volume. This should be on the shelf of any serious student of the book of Romans.

An exceptional value for the price. This is definitely one of the best commentaries on Romans in print, and, at this price, it is a must for the serious student.

This is a fantastic resource book! However, it was printed on paper with about 1/4" borders requiring you to break the binding to read the center section. It is very hard to handle and read. Put another 1/4" around the borders and it would be much easier to read. It is off-putting to have to deal with the printing of this book. I would recommend this book to those who will fight it, but to me I will try to get a Kindle version.
