Amy Clipston5 Stars Out Of 5February 25, 2009Amy ClipstonPlain Perfect is the story of Lillian Miller, a young woman who has been mistreated by her boyfriend and abandoned by her mother. Searching for a new life filled with peace instead of abuse, Lillian travels to Lancaster County to live with her Amish maternal grandparents, Irma Rose and Jonas Miller. The story follows Lillians journey toward faith. And while shes searching for her faith, she also finds a special love and friendship in Amish widower Samuel Stoltzfus and his son, David.Beth weaves a wonderful, sweet love story. Her characters are real, and the description and details put me right into the heart of Lancaster County. If you've never read other Amish novels, you'll quickly fall in love with their beliefs and their ways. I also fell in love with her characters! Jonas and Irma Rose are delightful. I cheered on Lillian and Samuel, hoping that they would find a way to overcome their differences and give their relationship a chance, despite the odds against them. Beths Amish details are interesting and credible. Its obvious Beth did her research.Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I look forward to reading her second and third books!

Brenda5 Stars Out Of 5February 25, 2009BrendaI totally disagree with the last review. This book is fabulous and well-researched. I, too, am knowledgeable about the Old Order Amish - in Lancaster County. And I believe this to be the best book written in the sub-genre. I loved this book!
