This book was a favorite with us when our children were very little. The stories are the right length and I liked the questions at the end. Now that two of my children have a child or will shortly, they wanted the same Bible Story book that we had so they could read it to their children. I was very thankful that I could find it. I just hope I don't regret not buying two more.

My Mom bought a copy of this book for my daughter in 1993 and it was a great book. I recently bought a copy for my great niece and it has changed and not for the better. I do like the shape better though. It is not in the shape of a rectangle from left to right. It is like it is shown in the photo. The big negative to me was that they changed the people to look like cartoons instead of real people. My sister-in-law had a copy of the same book I had received and when she found out that the pictures were changed into cartoons, she was very disappointed also. I say, when you have something very good, unless it is something a bit better, just leave it alone.

My 6 year old loves this Bible book, has been taking it everywhere, reading to me from it, and saying the prayers at the end of each story. He is learning, and I am thankful.

Beautiful pictures! Nice short stories for my antsy 2 yr old though I do find myself wanting to add to them a little for my 4&5 yr old. So, we usually keep our Bible handy when reading from this children's Bible.

Kenneth N. Taylor's original book, The Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes, published in 1956, made a huge impression on me as a child. When I grew up I remembered it and bought a copy to read to my own children. They also loved it! I have been reading it to my grandchildren now and they also love it! The stories are written in a way that young children can understand. We love not just the stories but also the illustrations, which are so beautiful and which depict the scenes so well that one can envision being there! I wanted to order the book for our young children's Sunday school classes and was so disappointed to see that they have changed the illustrations to drawings that are more like cartoons. They also changed it to have a prayer with each story instead of the scripture reference. I prefer the scripture reference because then the parent or teacher can know where it is in the Bible and be able to read and so answer questions. I dearly wish that Moody press would reprint the original. "If its not broken don't fix it. " I wrote that I would not recommend this to a friend. What I would recommend is that my friend try to get a copy of the original because it is the best Children's Bible I have ever seen! Not anymore....please fix it! Go back to the original!
