Home school mom5 Stars Out Of 5Home school momDecember 15, 2016Home school momQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This math is very gentle. We tried several math programs and my daughter wasn't understanding math and was very frustrated with other programs. With this one she asks to start our home school day with her piggy math. We enjoy the stories and simple short lessons. My daughter is understanding math and enjoying it! My daughter is flying through this book!

CJS5 Stars Out Of 5MLFLE Level 1February 23, 2018CJSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I can not say enough good things about this math curriculum! The Charlotte Mason flavored lessons begin with a story (level 1 follows twins as they visit their grandparents farm for the summer) which introduces the math concepts in real life situations. The daily lessons are a perfect blend of mastery of the new concept and spiral for reviewing previous concepts. The lessons are not overloaded with busy work and problem upon problem. This is a complete curriculum - Quality over quantity. My 5 year son has learned so much with this curriculum... and maybe more importantly, he is LOVING math!

Amber5 Stars Out Of 5Perfect Kindergarten bookJanuary 30, 2018AmberQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We used this for my kindergartner and it is excellent. Half way through the year she has learned place value, simple addition, simple fractions, solving for an unknown (this took a bit longer to comprehend), subtraction, and counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's. Although she knew her 12 main shapes, this reinforced 9 of them.
It's a good mix of worksheets and "hands on" material.
Guide Sheets can be laminated for multiple uses but it's not necessary for completion.
We used a white board. I would call it advanced kindergarten or easy first grade material. -
hsm225 Stars Out Of 5love itAugust 24, 2018hsm22Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We've been working through this book for a few weeks and are really enjoying it. The early lessons were review for us, but it's good to have some material we already know to boost confidence and to take a break from lessons that present new concepts by doing a little review work.
