SuzieOhioAge: Over 65Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5much too slow to reveal anything. too longSeptember 13, 2013SuzieOhioAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1It took 19 pages to tell me what a good preacher could have said in 1 sentence--and has done so. It has a marvelous theme, but treats the reader as a small child, not understanding significance of important Biblical references. My adult children would all be interested in the subject matter, but I would not recommend the book because they are busy people who have no time to mess with so many words to say it.

alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5June 28, 2014alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2As my churches librarian, I have had many people in recent months asking about this book. I view books of this nature on a very skeptical level. I find it difficult when people claim they know what God is going to do.
When I first open this book, I found that on the page just before the table of contents, that the author states that what is in this book is real. This should be a red flag to anyone. My question is, that author is stating things within these pages as irrefutable facts, so why then is this book published as a fiction book? Fiction by definition is something made up. The second major problem I have is that, while history seems to be repeating itself, the author is attributing things and events that were assigned to Israel. While I do believe that God is giving America many, many different signs to return to Him, we are not a "second Israel".
This story itself was alright. Most of it was in conversation form so it is a fairly quick read. I personally would not recommend this book. -

The book is very repetitive at times and was anticlimactic. I was really hoping I would like this book...

l8rbethAge: 25-34Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5don't read and exerciseMay 18, 2012l8rbethAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2I don't know, I just could not get into this book. I was really excited to read it, but just did not enjoy it. Honestly, I haven't even fiinished it yet. Maybe it was because I tried to read it while walking on a treadmill and I needed to give more attention-not sure. There are lots of quips back and forth which annoyed me. And the premise that we are like Israel annoyed me too. America is NOT Israel. I tried to like it really I did. I loved Bonehoeffer! That was a great book.

SuzieQ2 Stars Out Of 5Just a Marketing PloyDecember 19, 2012SuzieQQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I was very disappointed in this book. All the hype is just a marketing ploy to sell the book. It is not very well written and it is not a fiction thriller! I was really looking forward to reading it and I wish I could have written a good review.
