What this book does, is truly explain the methodology used by professionals in making sense of these statements & reports and how we summarize the events in a cogent, consistent manner that stands up in court.
Funny, is that for years a co-worker and I would comment that the Gospels read better than the eye witness testimonies that we read daily. Guys, I spent three years reading and reviewing material trying to see if the Bible was accurately passed on. For me, the Bible is God-inspired and true and I only discovered layer upon layer of evidence. Even Bart Ehrman acknowledges that the present Bible is pretty much what the ancients wrote down.
As an experienced court official, the quality of the Gospels as eye-witness testimony is unmatched when compared to what law enforcement works with. As far as apologetics goes, I'm not sure how a skeptic or atheist would counter this book. But if I, a lifelong believer, can honestly explore the other side, to include becoming fluent in science, you should too. This book needs to be explored. -
WoofiejoAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Homicide Detective’s Method To Prove ChristianityAugust 20, 2013WoofiejoAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels.J. Warner Wallace does an outstanding job of using his skills as a L.A. homicide detective (who has solved many cold cases) to look at the case for Christianity. By examining numerous eye witness accounts of the events, he looks for inconsistencies in their stories to disprove the truth of Christianity only to find that all the accounts are amazingly consistent and he can't crack the case. It must be true.
The first section of the book teaches you how to be a detective and applies those principles to the case for Christianity. The second section helps you examine the evidence using a series of questions that good detectives use. The third section is the appendix and gives credit to the expert witnesses that were used, the assisting officers and the case notes and supporting evidence.
All in all, a fun and fresh way to examine the case for Christianity in a relevant way for today.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from David C Cook in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. -

Seeking5 Stars Out Of 5PreparationFebruary 16, 2018SeekingQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels. We bought this book for a small group study. In today's ever secularized world it takes some work to overcome the prevalent idea in society and academia that either God does not exist or that Jesus was not his son. Yet a careful and openminded examination of the evidence leads to the opposite conclusions. Using the same process applied to solving murders this book helps truth seekers and those wishing to bring others to Christianity. It is a fabulous resource!
