merryteeSpokane, WAAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Two complete & unsurpassed historical love storiesApril 27, 2013merryteeSpokane, WAAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Bridal Blessings: Truly Yours 2-in-1 Romances.I loved these two Tracey Peterson love stories from the 1800's. Both stories tugged at my heart strings, stirred my heart's deepest emotions and kept me on the edge all the way through. The characters were so personable and real. At a few points of the stories, I found myself stirred to pray for them -- that is how real they were. I loved the use of Scripture as God revealed Himself in their thoughts, His love & answers to their needs and comforted them in their hours of need. Thank you, Tracey, for once again stirring my "young" 79 yr old heart! Loved this book!

MystiScarborough, OntarioAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A very good read ...May 20, 2013MystiScarborough, OntarioAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4This review was written for Bridal Blessings: Truly Yours 2-in-1 Romances. The two small love stories within this book are completely separate of each other. The message in both stories is clear in that you can only get to heaven if you accept Jesus as your savior and ask for his forgiveness of your sins.
I welcomed the fact that within both stories the Christians referred to the scriptures in everyday life and in all areas of life. -
EllenFort Worth, TXAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Attention-RetainingOctober 15, 2014EllenFort Worth, TXAge: 55-65Gender: femaleBoth stories were well written and biblically strong. I like Tracie Peterson's books because they offer an interesting, unique story line that has a feel-good ending. Both of these stories met my expectations.
One thing I did notice; whoever edited these two stories must have used an electronic editing method because there were several mistakes in word usage, i.e. though for thought, had for hat, to for two. This was consistent throughout both books.
This didn't take away from my reading pleasure, I just hat to adjust my though process two follow the story. -

-Logan's Lady
England's high society meets up with a rugged Colorado tour guide, clearly showing the class differencesoh, do the sparks fly. Add harsh, treacherous terrain going up the mountains of 1875's Colorado making tense feelings even more tense. It is fun to watch Lady Amelia and Logan as they spar along the trail and later in Estes. I felt kinda sorry for Amelia, being forced into a marriage she does not want. There is a secret behind the arranged marriage that comes out and makes things even more tense. I like the way Logan's strong faith is evident in all he says and does. I could feel Amelia's frustrations, not only with her father and Jeffery but with her sisters as well. I really did not like Jeffery at all and had a hard time with Reginald's treatment of his daughter. This is a short story with lots of interesting characters, some endearing and some with unlikable traits. Danger, frustration, fear, joys, faith, romance and faith bring a delightful story.
-My Valentine
Darlene Lewy is a Jewish seamstress in her father, Abraham's tailor shop in 1835's New York City. Wealthy Dennison Blackwell and his son Pierce frequent the shop and have become good friends with Abraham. This short story reveals to the reader the division between the different classes and different faiths. I really liked the way Pierce and his father lived out their faith and shared the love of Jesus with those they meetin a loving way. I found it interesting to show the depth of the Jewish faith and how Christians and Jews alike pray to the same God. An in-depth description of a Seder Meal was very moving and very interestingshowing the ties between the Jewish faith and the faith of those following Christ. Not only prejudices of other cultures but of different faiths is clearly shown in the story. I really did not like Pierce's aunt at all and a couple of the other characters. Along with the prejudices, misleading lies to manipulate others, fear, fire, death, strong faith and love are woven to make a sweet romance.
