This is an extremely useful Bible. By reading all four translations on the same passage, you get a much better idea of what the original language meant. The four translations were well selected to include both word for word and thought by thought translations, which are based on different manuscripts. When you open this Bible to a page you see four columns, the KJV and Amplified on the left, and the NASB and NIV on the right. Each column of the page begins and ends on the same verse. There is very little content other than the translations. It has only the footnotes that come in the most basic Bibles of each translation,(with some cross references in the Amplified) and a single page message from the translators of each translation. It's dimensions (in inches) are 9.5 x 6.5 x 2.5. I was just barely able to zip a Bible cover around it, so in theory you could make it your main Bible, but for me it is best for home study when trying to understand a particular passage in depth.
I was thinking that the Bible had more commentary than it does. The commentary was the main reason why I purchased the Bible. So I am a little disappointed, however I do like that it has four versions of the scriptures.
