My brother and I really enjoyed listening to "Take IT from the Top" by Adventures in Odyssey. We love to listen to them when we go on road trips, before we go to bed at night and any other chance we can. We like that there are moral, godly lessons to learn and the stories are funny.

My three school-aged children are all Odyssey fans, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to review this newest volume of character-building audio entertainment from Focus on the Family and Tyndale. It made for great family entertainment during mealtimes and when folding laundry, plus will be enjoyed by our entire family during road trips. For those of you unfamiliar with Odyssey, the adventures all take place in and around an ice cream parlor, Whit's End. Various townsfolk learn lessons about character in the various audio dramas, each focused on teaching a single moral lesson.Take It From the Top (Adventures in Odyssey Volume 51) features 12 stories which are designed to hold children's attention while instilling Christian values. This well-packaged 4 CD set contains 5 hours of adventures, along with a bonus poster. Of the 9 stories on the CD (2 contain multiple parts) the children of Odyssey learn the values of responsibility, perseverance, forgiveness and more. My children have chosen favorite stories and characters from the newest CD. My 14 year old daughter's favorite character is Connie (whom she relates to), with her favorite story the 2-part "Inspiration Station." My 9 year old daughter's favorite story was the 3-part "The Jubilee Singers," which teaches perseverance. My son mostly appreciates the humor in these stories, though he also enjoys the adventures.Focus on the Family continues to produce excellent audio dramas with the Adventures in Odyssey, with this CD set meeting our family's expectations. My children have already listened to some of the stories repeatedly, which makes the Odyssey series a very worthwhile investment for us. Tyndale Publishers provided me a complimentary copy of this CD set for review.

Once again Focus On the Family has done it again. I'm in my fifties and started buying these for my sons before they was teens. Not only did they love them, but I did also. We've got everyone of the series and I've brought several for families with young kids. I still listen and this series once again deals with God's Word in a way kids and adults can understand. I've got my first grandchild on the way and look forward to introducing these to them.

Take It From the Top, Album 51, by the Adventures in Odyssey Team is the latest addition to the Christian audio adventures. Oldies fans like myself, will relish the newest adventures while "newbie" fans, will find that they have great fun & pleasure, getting to know the citizens of Odyssey. Many new families and characters have been added to the adventures, but the familiar classics such as Connie, Whit, and Eugene are still around. This CD set is chocked-full of good lessons, such as responsibility, perseverance, and storing up treasures in Heaven; with many great laughs, fun, and history, in nine episodes. I absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed & relished listening to these episodes with my husband and children while on the road. My favorites were "The Jubilee Singers", they brought back such great fond memories, which is why I give this album four.five stars out of five. However most of all , I was very impressed and just love the way the people at Adventures in Odyssey make the Bible seem so realistic and practical to folks of all ages, from zero to one hundred! They make learning character fun, no matter how old you are, and I believe that these CDs will always be timeless and useful in every Christian household! I received this CD series to review, complimentary from Tyndale Publishers. My opinion is always my own, and is not in any way positively or negatively made due to receiving this item in exchange for review. Disclosure statement made as per FTC guidelines.
