Great read. Anne graciously reminds us that wounded people tend to wound people. The book speaks encouragement and instruction to both the wounded and the wounder. I have given several away and placed an order for more. Highly recommended!

In her latest book, Wounded by God's People, Anne Graham Lotz gently approaches the subject of being wounded, as well as becoming a wounder, but she doesn't stop there. She also encourages the reader toward repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Through the Biblical story of Hagar, the Egyptian slave to Abraham and Sarah, Anne walks through the painful process of wounding that takes place in the hearts and lives of people, oftentimes inflicted by the people we've grown closest too, in the Body of Christ.

Anne shares from the hurtful experiences in her own past. She walks vulnerably down a road of transparency, as she encourages the reader to take a deeper look into their own life and actions, exposing areas where deeper works of cleansing need to take place. Her thoughts and words are backed by scripture, as she points us toward the God who loves and cares for both the wounded and the wounder. She reminds us that God does hear when we call, even as He heard the voice of Hagar in the wilderness.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever been hurt. Even if you think you have everything under control, this is a must read. God has blessings for each one of us, even in hurtful experiences. We have to accept and embrace the times of wounding...but Anne tells it so much more eloquently, so get yourself a copy of this book.

I was blessed by Anne Graham Lotz's book! I've read MANY books on this subject & this is THE BOOK that I would recommend to those who have been "wounded" by anyone! She takes you step by step into freedom from the pain of being wounded in a loving way! So many times, I've heard others say, "You MUST forgive!" WITHOUT lovingly guiding the person to forgive & showing them Christ's way to forgiveness. Helping someone understand that we must forgive is to be done in a loving way, without condemning. As Christ would do. I think many don't understand the trauma that others go through when they've been wounded; what it does to the one wounded, not to mention the many repercussions of what happens to them after they've been wounded, the many reaching tentacles of the wounder's sin. Christ understands, & that is what Anne Graham Lotz lets you know in her book, that she understands because she's been there, & GOD UNDERSTANDS! An EXCELLENT BOOK!!!

I am a huge fan of Anne Graham Lotz and read a lot of her books. She did a wonderful job with this book. It had to be very painful to write, but she forged ahead with her straight forward style and got right to the heart of the matter. She does not disappoint, she always challenges us to be better Christians. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

I was able to identify as a wounded person and as a wounder. I had to ask God to forgive me for pass things I had not thought about or did not realize how I acted towards others. Reading this book was cleansing. It helped to open my eyes about holding on to past hurts, being angry with people long dead, and being prayerful about what I say and do in the future.
