Lisa Cooper5 Stars Out Of 5A Woman After God's Own Heart, Updated and Expanded EditionOctober 24, 2014Lisa CooperQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We are doing this study in our church and with groups of women and it is a good tool for getting women together and encouraging each other to grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord.
You do need the journal to go with if you are a group study. One of us had the journal so we are just doing the questions together every week when we meet.

CharPAAge: Over 65Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Good for Married women, not for singlesJuly 9, 2014CharPAAge: Over 65Gender: femaleI am using this book for a class I've been teaching at our church for over five years using a wide variety of christian books. However, most of the women in my class are not married, including myself so this book was not a good choice. I expected the book to concentrate on our personal relationship with God, using David's life as a man after God's heart, but this study deals more with the role of a wife and mother based on Biblical teaching. This book is an excellent study for married women, but I am having a difficult time applying most of Elizabeth's teachings to the mostly unmarried women in my class. Some of them have even stopped coming because a lot of what Elizabeth is saying does not apply to them as single women who have no intentions of getting married. So if you are going to use this book for a class, think about the make up of you class. If they are married, or are planning to get married, it is great! But if not, I would not recommend it.
