KupuananiCocoa, FLAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5I couldn't put it down!December 27, 2012KupuananiCocoa, FLAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It has been a long while since I have read a book this delightful. The beginning of the book was a little murky with details, but it was needy to get to the heart of the story. I loved the characters in this book. When I finished, I immediately went online to buy the remaining four books in this series. I can't wait to find out more about the lives of those in this series. The most wonderous part is how well it deals in leading someone to Christ. Not being pushy in anyway, but allowing the characters (mainly the Vicar) to gently guide someone who wanted nothing to do with coming to the Lord. Well done & well written all around. Even the characters of the children held your interest as they come and go in and out of the main story.

Sue5 Stars Out Of 5Widow of Larkspur InnFebruary 6, 2016SueQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoyed this tale of finding one's faith to survive a time of trial. It is a realistic story to demonstrate the principle that God does not promise that we will not have to face trials and tribulations. The characters learned to rely on God to help them work through their difficulties.

It contains lots of encouragement that God can provide & strengthen us in dark times as well as good. Though our paths may not look like we may have planned, He is still in control working His best plan for our lives.

Miranda5 Stars Out Of 5Such a great storyJanuary 30, 2016MirandaQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This is the story of Julia, her 3 children and her friend and maid Fiona. I cannot recommend this book highly enough, it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I read it all in two sittings, it was a tale that drew you in and made you want the best for all the characters.
Julia's dead husband was not the wonderful man and provider she had thought him to be, with the loss of her status and home, Julia and her children started life anew in the village of Gresham. Julia went on to grow beautifully as a person and as a child of God. I am looking forward to reading the next books in the series.
I enjoy books with characters that have real life struggles and real life growth in their faith. I also appreciated that the author understands that because salvation occurs, it does not necessarily mean a person never struggles or is immediately cured of whatever plagued them before.
