Cindy Woodsmall certainly saved the best till last in the Sisters of the Quilt series. Hannah Lapp has settled into Englischer life better than she'd ever hoped for. She has found a whole new family with Martin and his niece and nephew, who he now has custody of. She is successfully pursuing a career in nursing. She doesn't even realise how much she misses her old life and family until her disturbed sister Sarah calls her, desperate for help. Hannah travels back to the Old Order Amish community that shunned her and is reunited with her friends and family, with varying degrees of warmth and acceptance. Many misunderstandings are cleared up and forgiveness reigns to such a degree that an old romance is rekindled, leaving Hannah with some huge choices to make. You'll have to read it for yourself to find out which world, and which man, she chooses.

I loved this third and final book in the Sisters of the Quilt series. I normally dont like continuous series like this but there is no way Woodsmall could have done Hannahs story justice in just one book. I think she did a marvelous job of dividing her journey between the three books. When the Soul Mends had me on tenterhooks, I knew how I wanted it to end but I wasnt sure that it would be possible. In fact, Woodsmall convinced me that my hopes would be dashed until nearly the end of the book! It was agonizing to read and my emotions kept building with every page and I was in tears at the end. I impatiently devoured this series but now that Im finished I feel bereft and am reluctant to say goodbye to these beloved characters

When The Soul Mends Is a suitably sufficient in emotion and Faith. In the beginning it approaches your emotions on such an intense level and when it does that think to yourself - if it starts off like this how deep is this going to go? Then you start reading even harder because you don't want to miss out on a single thing because you won't believe how would aggressive this author gets with Your emotions. I don't say this very much so when I say it I mean it - Ms. woodsmall Leaves a piece of herself with each of the characters for you and you are excited that she does. I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.
