My thoughts: Exciting suspense. Secrets. Lynette Eason's When A Secret Kills brings it all to the table and you leave satiated but wanting more. After reading the second book in the Deadly Reunion Series: When A Heart Stops, I knew I wanted more. So when the opportunity to read When A Secret Kills came my way, I jumped at the chance. I just wish I had read book one in the series. (Maybe at a later date)

The story opens with Julian Carter returning to her hometown that she left 10 years prior. She has disguised herself with straightened, dyed hair and colored contacts; but she soon finds out that she has not slipped in unaware. Someone tries to silence her with a deadly knife in the airport. She escapes, but soon has to share her secret with the one person she feels most unsafe sharing it with.

Danger and death seem to chase Julian at every turn and every moment. She fears for herself and those around her but believes and is determined to find a killer from 10 years prior. For that, you see, is her secret.

Set in Columbia, SC, it doesn't read like a super sweet "Southern" novel. It reads like fast paced suspense that will keep you on edge and you will be compelled to continue reading until you turn the last page.

The story has characters whose lives are directed by their strong faith in God, and some whose faith is weak or none existent. I found this an exciting, enjoyable read and one that I can heartily recommend.

Suspense, action, secrets laced with romance, offering numerous twists, turns and high action that will dramatize this impossible to put down explosive read. Although it is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone novel and will satisfy either way. Will be enjoyed by men and women alike. Progressive interactive and engaging plot, easy to follow dialogue and realistic scenery come together to offer a book with no broken or dull parts. I was entertained by this faith challenging read and will recommend it to others. 5 Stars! I received a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing for this blog tour for my review.

An excellent book. You need to read series #1 and #2 to capture the whole story. This book reveals all the suspects and unbelievably who really did it! Amazingly interesting from beginning to end and so well written.

All three books in this series were excellant. Had both suspense and romance in them. After I read the first one I couldn't wait for the other two to come out.

Jillian Carter has spent the last 10 years of her life hiding from a killer. Tired of hiding and living a secret Jillian decides to return home to confront the person trying to kill her. The killer is getting closer to Jillian and becoming desperate to finish the job.

Colton Brady is stunned to see the changes in Jillian, the girl he once was in love with. Once Jillian reveals her reason for disappearing 10 years before, Colton has a hard time believing her story. After several attempts on Jillian's life though, Colton has no choice but to confront someone very close to him.

Jillian and Colton have really never stopped loving each other. As Colton fights to keep Jillian alive the attraction they had for each other many years before is once again rekindled. Jillian has one last secret that she is keeping from Colton though. Will this be the secret that ends their relationship forever?

With so many twists and turns I kept thinking "oh this is the killer" or "oh no, THIS is the killer" and then change my mind again! What a great story that can have you guessing right up until the very end of the book! WHEN A SECRET KILLS was a quick and suspenseful read that has me looking forward to reading more of Lynette Eason's stories.
