If you're using this study on your own, I'd encourage you to take out a blank sheet of paper, and ask the Lord to guide you in writing down questions or points of application that He's guiding you to for your own life. One final word...if you are leading this study for a group, know that these studies were designed to make it easy to discuss Scripture together, after first having done some observation of what the Word says. They aren't designed to be used to take up all of your class time marking the words, or even writing down the answers. That can be done by your students once they get home.Instead, just read through the passage once for them. Then, read through it again, this time having them say the key words outloud. Then, ask the discussion questions, and let discussion be the focus...always asking, "Which verse did you see that in?"If you will ask that question, you'll train your students to look to Scripture for the answers, and will also teach them not to apply their own interpretation to Scripture. One other way to use this book for a class setting, is to have the students do a week's worth of the study at home, and come to class prepared to discuss what they learned from Scripture that week.

This was the first time our Bible study group has used one of the Kay Arthur studies. It was helpful to have the Biblical text printed in sidebars next to the discussion questions. The response questions stimulated good discussions among the participants. We will choose another study from this series to use in future classes.

I have just finished leading a group of 14 ladies through this book, and it has been the most vocal group compared to other types of study. Kay Arthur does an excellent job of showing through scripture just how much the Father loves us, how He sees us as perfected in Christ Jesus even now, and how we are sealed eternally by the Holy Spirit. This was welcome information for many who are confused about losing their salvation, or doubting if they are really saved. Some were wrorried about being imperfect, but Kay uses Ephesians chapters 4 and 5 to show that it's the direction we are persuing, not perfection; one day God will finalize the job. We were bolstered by the fact of the firm foundation upon which we stand as believers, and that allows us to do some of the seemingly hard things for Christ- not because we have to, but because we love Him and want to return His love to Him. Step by step she answers all the questions we came up with, and every day we studied, everyone felt all their questions were addressed. This is an excellent series for people who are just starting out in precept Bible study, which was my goal for these ladies. I have studied with Kay Arthur with her Precept Upon Precept studies for many years, yet I learned a good amount from these 40- minute studies, and the ladies have had a start into true inductive Bible study, a tool they can use for the rest of their lives.

This product is great for Sunday school classes. It is written to engage people in discussion as they learn to read scripture more inductively. The "no homework" format allows for completion of lesson in one sitting or you can be flexible and continue the next week if you need to.
