With Ben's understand and strong personality she learned how to deal with her problem. I learned a little about PTSD and how it affects people. This was my first book my Lauraine Snelling and will not be my last. I recommend this book to everyone.

crtnybcBritish Columbia, CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5A lukewarm medical dramaJune 22, 2013crtnybcBritish Columbia, CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1This is one novel that did not live up to my expectations. I expected there to be more action, maybe more focus on looking for the abandoned baby's mother, more mystery surrounding that or something. It just wasn't what I was expecting.
It's basically an account of a small town getting hit by two big storms in short order and how their doctor (who is actually a doctor's assistant) at their under staffed and under supplied clinic gets through it. There's a lot of detail about the different cases, oh and in the middle of it somewhere two badly damaged (emotionally) people fall in love.
Personally I didn't find it overly exciting or interesting. There's a lot of medical detail, but the story doesn't really go anywhere, and a lot of big personal problems are glossed over in the end.
I received this book from Netgalley and Faith Words in exchange for an honest review. My opinion is my own. -
lynnaAge: 55-65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5January 31, 2014lynnaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I have read many of Lauraine Snellings book. However this one had a good story line but about 20 pages into the book, there is some profanity in it. As a christian writer I feel she should be above reproach in her writing. It should help someone come to Christ, not be the same after reading it. Think on things that are pure, lovely, and most of all things from above.

lovetoreadindianaAge: 55-65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5book has curse wordsDecember 8, 2013lovetoreadindianaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I think I have read all of her books and enjoyed all. but, I find this one offensive because of the curse words used. I know people curse but saying he/she cursed is sufficient rather than "take me to where you keep your drugs, b****! (on page 130)there are other places too. I'm not sure I will finish it!
