I am very proud to be able to read and review "The Vigllante's Bride by Yvonne Harris. This story is set Chicago, Illinois, December 17, 1884. Emily McCarthy is an orphan and at eighteen she was being forsed to go out into the world to make room for more children. Miss Beecham had seen an ad in the newspaper advertising for a bride, so she has make planed for Emily to go west and marry this man by the name of Bartholomew Axel a wealthy rancher in Repton, Montana.Emily didn't want to leave but she had to do what they told her too do as she had no other place to live and there were not any jobs. She boarded the trail that would take her on the first leg of her journey, then she would have to change and go by stage. The stage was held up and she was kidnapped by Luke Sullivan a former vigilante. He had come back to work at an orphanage where he had grown up, he felt that he could not allow her to marry the evil man known as Bart Axel. When she met Bart she then saw the evil in his eyes and was so glad she had been taken to the orphanage Aldersgate where she was allowed to stay and teach the children, two of which were Crow Indians. The kidnapping did not go well with the old man Bart Axel and he was set to do something bad to Luke. There were all kind of attempt to kill Luke and to try to get Emily back by Me. Axel, but they all failed as Luke was a fast draw and was not afraid of anyone. Emily and Luke did not get along at first but as Christmas drew near when her wedding was supposed to be held, hey begin to feel different about each other. This is a very good book about the old west and the way things were. It takes you back and I got lost in the pages and didn't want to lay it down. This book was sent to be by Bethany House Publishing for review.

When I read the description of this story, I was interested in reading it! When I received the book, I devoured it! It only took me a few days to read it, and I enjoyed every minute of it! The story was exciting, it transported me back to the 1800s in the old west (one of my favorite settings), and there were even a few parts where I actually laughed out loud! If you enjoy a book that you can have a little bit of everything...action, adventure, romance...with a Christian perspective...then you'll enjoy this book! I received this book from Bethany House to review....thanks Bethany House!

The Vigilante's Bride was a real page turner and kept me up late at night. I love action packed Christian Westerns like this that are set in the 1800's.
