Another excellent book about how the Old Testament still affects Christian living today and how to incorporate it into our every day lives. Like the first book I read "The Torah Blessing" this book investigates how instructions that God gave the Israelites can still apply and be applied to Christian lives. This book focuses on God's prosperity blessings, though it is definitely not a prosperity teaching book like some of the churches are tending to focus on now. This is about how God has provided three windows of opportunity for greater blessings in addition to the one for tithes. Larry Huch also manages to bring the promises of prosperity to those in the latter day into it, relevant to those who are afraid that we are seeing those times now. It is also a re-emphasis on how using the tallit can create your secret closet and bring a totally different experience of prayer and talking and listening to God. He also touches on the value of the Mezuzah, the verse of God attached above the door post, and the Modeh Ani, praise and prayer before leaving your bed in the morning. The book is a great resource for anyone's library especially if one is interested in learning about the Jewish roots and customs found in the Old Testament.
