Another great book by Henderson5 Stars Out Of 5Wow!September 3, 2015Another great book by HendersonQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I love reading more than anything else, and love a good writer. Dee Henderson is one of my favorite christian authors, because she uses good writing techniques to tell the story. She develops her characters to be like real people, with faults, problems, issues, and helps them deal with them through other christians, and with God's help. I thought Unspoken did a very good job of grabbing my interest and keeping it.
The fact that the main character struggles with her faith because of what was done to her and what she suffered as a young girl, and that it caused problems for her with her sister, etc. are all very likely responses to her experiences. I see similarities between the main male lead and my husband, that made this a very fun read for me. He is patient, kind, and above all, a Godly man who makes good decisions based on his beliefs. I like that his interest in Charlotte is not sparked by her physical appearance, but the intrigue of how she approaches him, and the complexities he unveils as their friendship develops.
The fact that Charlotte has researched him in advance, is very believable to me. Someone with an inherited fortune that is not necessarily welcome, and wants to dispose of it in a way that can benefit others, would be cautious about who is "let in" to their inner circle. That altruistic attitude is not a part of many people, but I know of some who would do exactly what Charlotte did with an inherited fortune.
I would recommend this to my more sophisticated reader friends. People who like a good story, and a little bit of suspense, and can read between the lines with full understanding. I can see where the plot development and intricacies of the story could seem boring to the less sophisticated reader. -

Seriously... Dee Henderson has really written an incredible book as a fantastic follow up (or stand alone story) to Full Disclosure. You could read this book on its own but it is rich and full of depth when you have the background information of Full Disclosure.
With a gripping opening, this book moves from page to page with mystery, a slight bit of romance, drama, and interesting circumstances. The characters are deep, well developed and seem like real people the reader will want to know.
Dee Henderson did an incredible job of creating a perfect blend of hope, forgiveness, love, truth and faith. I appreciate how she uses the stories within the book to talk about the hard topics of unanswered prayer, unforgiveness in difficult seasons of life... topics that we, as Christians, don't always have answers to during times of distress. The thought that God is good no matter what is prevalent and woven through the pages.
Unspoken is one of those books that you read quickly while wishing it didn't end so soon. You probably won't even need a bookmark because you won't want to put it down!
Looking forward to more books from Dee Henderson! -

I love being able to read a great murder mystery / romance without having to worry that there might be bad language or other inappropriate stuff - I can let my teenage daughter read them without worry. And as a great bonus there is a huge spiritual message in all of her books!

By Dee Henderson
Charlotte Graham's never spoken about the kidnapping.
Sixteen years later, she's the only one who knows the truth.
But, even now, can she risk sharing it?
Ann and Paul Falcon are working on a cold case - a kidnapping gone bad, a child dead and buried and few clues. But Ann and Paul are determined to close this case.
Meanwhile Bryce Bishop is about to get the offer of a lifetime. A strange meeting with a mysterious woman leaves him in a possession with a fortune in collectible coins - some of which are very rare. By saying yes Bryce has gotten his wish - life is not quite so boring and it is about to get even more intriguing as agrees to a longer term business proportion with the mysterious and guarded Charlotte Graham.
Who is Charlotte Graham and why is Bryce so drawn to this woman who has been guarding a secret for more than fifteen years? But Bryce may be just what Charlotte needs to help her deal with the secrets she's been keeping and to finally heal from what she experienced when she was kidnapped as a sixteen year old girl and held for four years.
When a threat from the past returns, the stakes are higher than ever and Charlotte may be the only hope of stopping it - if she can remember...
If you liked Full Disclosure you have to read Unspoken. The connections between Ann and Paul and Bryce and Charlotte just add another layer of complexity to the story that just adds to its draw. If you have read Dee Henderson in the past you won't be disappointed with Unspoken! Unspoken is on my to purchase list as it is one book I know that I'll want to read again - yes, it is that good!
