Crystal5 Stars Out Of 5Unexpected approach to courtship and a love triangle!December 9, 2016CrystalQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Dee Henderson combines military suspense and a love triangle in Undetected leaving the reader eager to turn the next page! After a bad breakup, Gina Gray finds solace in her work as an ocean scientist at her brother's Naval base. Her intellectual genius has led to her discovery of new technology that would make the waters safer for U.S. military personnel. However, her intent isn't just to share this new technology- she's also hoping to find a love that will last a lifetime. What she didn't anticipate was that not one, but two men become interested in pursuing her.
I enjoyed the plot line following Gina's astounding discoveries and the attention given to the Navy and its role in protecting our country (I'm a total nerd in that way). Although I presume the "secret technologies" incorporated into the story are fictional, the military theme was intriguing. But my favorite part of the novel was the love triangle. Henderson had an interesting and unique approach to the love story involved. Gina has almost lost hope that she will find a mate because in the past her superior intelligence has proven to be a threat to the men she has dated resulting in the relationships dissovling. After arriving on her brother's Naval base, her brother, Jeff, tries to match Gina with his best friend, Mark Bishop, commander of a ballistic submarine. Mark, however, resists the pairing because of his and Gina's age difference. Of course, after Gina begins casually dating another man on base, Daniel Field, Mark realizes he does have feelings for Gina. I liked that the "challenge" between the two men is civil. Mark's pursuit of Gina is especially sweet. As he falls in love with her, the vulnerability and tenderness he displays toward Gina while courting her leaves the reader rooting for him and hoping that he will be Gina's choice in the end. Loved the unexpected and unconventional approach to romance Henderson offers in this book!

As a result of this story I have found myself praying for military families differently, in a way - more personally. I know the story was fictional, but I imagine there were elements not at all too far from truth in the real world. ** I was given a copy of this book to review from Bethany House. Even though they gave me the book, the opinions are my own.**

The story line was intriguing and had a great twist. I enjoyed this as much as all of her other writings and enjoy how she keeps the characters interlocked from her other books.
