It is a preconceived notion that miracles are restricted to biblical times, and no longer occur in today's world. It's a God Thing is a collection of stories from ordinary people living ordinary lives, but each experiences an extraordinary miracle. Some of the miracles included are a letter traveling 2,000 miles across country in less than twelve hours to reach a beloved one hours before dying, a woman being revived after dying on the hot asphalt of a grocery store parking lot, a stranger knowing a married couple's troubles of miscarriages and reviving their faith in Him, and, my personal favorite, God holding back a snow storm to give a mother and daughter one last beautiful day together.

After being off my spiritual path for the last few months, this book was what I needed to bring me back on track, and closer to Him. Every story was inspirational in its own way, and each revealed that God has His purpose for each of His children. Every page resonates with the truth that with God, all things really are possible!

Once I started reading this book, I didn't want to put it down! I'm a crier, so most of the stories made me teary. But mostly, time and time again, I was reminded that God is good.

The book is a collection of 46 stories different people, written in their own words, of when they experienced something that they knew just had to be a God thing. The stories make you feel connected to the author. This book is an easy read, with each story only a few pages long, making it a good choice for moms who can only spare a few minutes here or there to dip into a book.

Miracles do happen and have happened in my life. I was reminded that miracles don't have to be on a grand scale. It can be as simple as God putting someone directly in your life to pray for you or giving you one last glorious day with the person you love.

This book was provided to me free of charge by Book Look in return for my honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

An amazing book of everyday miracles, it contains stories of hope, redemption, overcoming, victory and God's love. Don Jacobson and K-Love put together a great collection of everyday miracles that can't be explained any other way then by God's hand in the living world. This is a book you find yourself not wanting to put down as story after story share of God's amazing power and timing. If you are thinking that the miracles that occur in the Bible no longer happen in everyday life, this book proves otherwise. As a Christian young in his faith and walk with God, these stories encouraged me to change my perspective and remind myself to surrender to God's will. If you are a Christian this book will help strengthen your faith and remind you that God is always in control and always present and watching over us. If you are not yet a Christian, I pray that this book will show you the power of an amazing God that loves you, forgives you and will redeem you as you believe in his Son, Jesus Christ. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and this book is a great reminder of that. An easy read, each short chapter shares a unique true God-story. I would recommend this book both for the believer as an enjoyable book that reinforces faith and for the skeptic to share the incredible divine events that happen during everyday life to ordinary people.

Have you ever read the Bible and found yourself amazed at the great things God has done or in awe of the miracles Jesus performed?

I think most of us have. And many of us have also thought that such great things only happened "back in the day" when great heroes of the faith lived lives that would later be recorded in the Bible for us to read about today.

But God hasn't stopped doing the miraculous!

To help us see how God is still very active in the lives of people today --- even in a miraculous way --- Don Jacobson and K-LOVE created the book, "It's A God Thing" (published by W Publishing, an imprint of Thomas Nelson).

This paperback book is a collection of forty-six short stories that tell of miracles people have experienced in contemporary times, or experiences that could not be explained in any way other than being "a God thing."

This is an encouraging book, as it provides testimony by people in our time of the great things God is still doing, giving personal witness to God's love and care for us and his continued direct involvement in our lives today. It's not a theological book, just one full of stories that will leave you praising God for not just the great things He has done, but for the great things He continues to do.
