Wonderful, accurate, and very important for kids to see real people risking their lives for something truly valuable! My kids loved it and I was really moved by it.

I recently purchased "The Jim Elliot Story" along with six other DVDs in the Torchlighters series to show to my middle school Sunday School class. I was very impressed with the videos, which are true to the facts about each missionary's life. They are educational, not only for the ages targeted, but adults can learn a lot from them also. They come with many activities for all age levels...coloring and activity pages, puzzles, codes, word searches, etc. My husband watched these movies with me as I previewed them before showing them to my class, and they were so moving that we both sat afterward with tears in our eyes and lumps in our throats...these missionaries were amazing people!

We love this series! They're honest about the kind of trials/persecutions many Christians have faced through the years. We feel they're a very valuable tool in starting family discussion/getting our children to think on the reality of Christian life. It isn't always easy. You will be persecuted in one way or another, but how are YOU going to handle it??

Excellent DVD!! As parents, it is our responsibility to have our children watch, read and listen to Christ-centered material to help them grown in their walk with the Lord. "The Jim Elliot Story" will will edify and encourage your children to put their faith in action. The special features will bless parents as they listen to Steve Saint and Marj Saint Van Der Puy's interviews. My family and I look forward to the next DVD in the Torchlighters Series.

got this dvd for my family to watch after my 13yr old read a book & did a study on this story. i have 7 kids age 13yrs & younger - it was too much for all of my kids except the 13yr old & she said she would have preferred to just read the book because even though it was in cartoon actually seeing the images & having the voices of people being attacked (particularly the naked tribal woman runing in fear while her father is murdered) has continued to trouble her. just because something is a true/christian story doesnt mean its good for kids - the thing that has stuck in my daughters mind after watching this story is the savage murders not the message that im sure the makers intended. i would say this movie is ok for older kids to watch with an adult to discuss & it would be better if the kid has read a book about these events first so they are prepared for the horrible events that occur & have more knowledge about the whole story not just the murders. however i wont bother having my other kids watch this again when they are older as i it did not really add in a helpful way to my daughters understanding of this story - reading the book 'jim elliot he is no fool' was better.
