I'm a pastor who is planning to use this book to help middle school children get an overview of Bible history and fill in any blanks they might have missed in Sunday School over the years. This book has been a great way to do that. In 31 chapters of reasonable length, it covers the high-points of Scripture. Anyone could debate what the editors chose to leave out and what they chose to include, but I think they've done an admirable job.
I know that there are portions of The Bible missing; but I also know that this is the first time (after several attempts) I am actually "reading" the Bible! Our small group at Church started this study about 10 weeks ago; and at that time I decided that I would try "one more time" to read The Bible -- I had already purchased a chronological Bible from CBD so that is what I am using! I do have to admit that I have still "skipped" over some parts but I have definitely read a WHOLE lot more than ever before!
