"Does that mean that all roads will lead to you?" Jesus responds, "Not at all. Most roads don't lead anywhere. What it does mean is that I will travel any road to find you."-the shack

This book changed my life! the most beautiful book of love and thats how you should read it, with an open mind and open to gods love. Christians need to stop debating on facts and understand we are all children in Christ and it's extremely hard to see the bad in a book written with so much love. Their are people like me who have gone through horrible abuse growing up and tough circumstances and I hold these type of books dear to my heart. It brought me back to Christ. It's very easy to doubt your faith when you have gone through horrible tragedies and books like these are what save lives and regardless bring people closer to Jesus and salvation, so isn't bringing people to salvation whats really important? If you argue about the bible and it's facts than you never understood the most beautiful point of the book that Jesus died on the cross so that whoever believe in him can be saved! because we could never follow the rules he put in place ...so why argue over it? As a person who found the love of Christ once again through this book I recommend it to those who still has questions and doubts of gods immense love. If you wish to learn more about the bible this might not be the book for you. This book is about those that have tough road blocks that rock the boat of your faith, it's a book for those bruised and on the ground and wonder "god why have you forsaken me?" if your open to it, this book may bring you to understand gods love and set you on a path of spiritual growth.

I have been a Christian for the last 33 years. This book so blessed me in it's presentation of my father God, exactly the way I have grown to know Him through His word, and His Son, and and His Spirit. The religious mind has a hard time with the possibility that God the Father could appear as a woman, but really, since God doesn't have a physical body, what does it matter? He is still PAPA. This story presented such an unconditional love that brings redemption to the subject- it opens doors for conversation, brings healing to the heart- yes, it is fiction, but as the author points out in the end- there's a great deal of true experience theologically and biblically presented.

I stumbled upon this book. Loved reading it. I was so impressed by the book, I purchased it for several friends. We have enjoyed many conversations and Bible studies as a result of what we read. It has restored and revived us. Made us crave to understand, see and desire more of God in our lives. My friends and I realize there is some controversy over this book and it should never replace studying your Bible.

This review was written for The Shack.
Captivated my interest in the very first chapter. Mack asked questions of God that I know many have wondered about and ask over and over, for I have, The whole thing is the learning to accept God as a loving God and not the misconceptions most of us have today. The important thing is learning that we all belong to God and He loves us the same. But mostly to forgive all no matter how bad the offence, which will open our souls up to total peace that we can only find when we do forgive. I would encourage anyone to read this book.

I am floored that there are people out there that have a problem with the Shack. But, I guess there is always going to be someone who doesnt like something, or who tries to take something different and make it out to be wrong. I loved this book, It made me rethink the way I perceive God. While this book is unconventional, it was what I needed for the season of my life. You will laugh, cry, scratch your head and in the end close the book and thank God that He really Does love and care about your life.
