A REALLY ENJOYABLE READ!
This is the fourth book by Cindy Woodsmall I have read; the other three were part of the Sisters of the Quilt series. I always thought I didn't like Amish fiction; but, since I've loved all four of the books I've read so far, maybe I do like it after all! :)
The Scent of Cherry Blossoms is about Aden Zook and Annie Martin. Aden and Annie have been friends for years and now are falling in love with each other, but a relationship between them is forbidden because he is Old Order Amish and she is Old Order Mennonite.
I really enjoyed reading about Aden and Annie's budding relationship. Their story was interesting and I was curious as to how it was all going to turn out!
The side story of Aden's brother Roman was also interesting. Although at first I was a little bored when reading about him, I enjoyed his story as well and was glad with where his story seemed to be going.
I felt the ending was a bit abrupt and would have liked it better had there been an epilogue.
Overall, I really liked The Scent of Cherry Blossoms. I thought it was a quick, well-written read that I would recommend to fans of Contemporary romance and Amish fiction.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group in exchange for my honest review.

Great easy read!
The Scent of Cherry Blossoms by Cindy Woodsmall was a very easy read about a young Mennonite girl who fell in love with an Old Order Amish boy. It was hard to put this book down! I love to read and this book caught my eye as its hard to find decent romance books. It was not a gushy love story but one that came from the heart. One that was forbidden from the beginning. It tended to be for a younger adult but I enjoyed it none the less. A family who saw many struggles and owned a diner who was in partnership with the young Mennonite girl's grandfather. Annie loved Aden and the feelings just grew. Aden's mother knew it was her sons heart to be with Annie. Annie's grandfather made it difficult and since he had a partnership with the diner Aden's family owned they tried to do the right thing but love overcomes! It was nice to see how each family helps. The Amish and Mennonite communities are always willing to pitch in when one needs a hand. A concept I think we forget in our busyness. One that I wish I could say I choose to do more. To think of others and not just myself.
Very good book. One that will lift your spirit and take you to a whole new place. I could feel myself being there in the heartache and the love. I would recommend this book.
