Publisher's Description

Naomi King, soft spoken, loyal, and easily overlooked, has a gift. She sees what others can't see. Intuition, she calls it. Others in Stoney Ridge don't know what to make of it and dismiss her hunches and inklings altogether.

When a young woman arrives at the Inn at Eagle Hill with a shocking secret about Tobe Schrock, Naomi fears the worst. She can't ignore the feeling that something sinister is at work-- something more than a threat to the tenuous love begun between her and Tobe.

As signs mount, they begin to point to Jake Hertzler, the elusive mastermind behind Schrock Investments' downfall. Soon, events spiral hopelessly out of control and Naomi must decide whether to listen to her head or her heart.

In this riveting conclusion to The Inn at Eagle Hill series, bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher pulls out all the stops with a fast-paced tale of deception, revelation, and just the right dose of romance.

How I love a book whose title can arguably fit MANY of its characters' situations. In The Revealing, book three of The Inn at Eagle Hill, I started out at a distinct disadvantage. I couldn't understand the author's need to go back and introduce Yet ANOTHER character or two every couple of pages. I was having trouble keeping them all straight. What I realized by the end of the book was that those who read the first two books probably didn't have that difficulty. For those of us who were only reading this one book, Fisher had to gather her characters and their issues like rain clouds and slowly build masses of cloud problems. These she let

gather, deepen, darken and turn into a massive figurative tornado that was ready to destroy Naomi, Tobe, Rose, Galen, Mim, and a host of others touched by their lives. Once the emotional storm began, it was a inescapable whirlwind that kept me caught in the pages of the story, until its peaceful finale.

Emerging on the other side of this "perfect emotional storm," some characters have allowed God to change them and smooth their rough edges, making them the best they can be. Others choose to go it without God and

find themselves drowning in the storm's aftermath.

So many life lessons. Forgiveness, whether one deserves it or not. "Hatred may visit your heart, but you needn't invite it to stay." The strength of love of family and community. Be an original, who God made you to be. Become your BEST self. Love does extraordinary things to people. And my last favorite takeaway? "No one can ever be another person's center. That position belongs only to God."

The Revealing by Suzanne Woods Fisher

The Revealing is the 3rd book in The Inn at Eagle Hill series. This book does continue from books 1 & 2 but it is one you can read alone. Suzanne does a great job of filling in the background details so you won't be lost.

    This was a very interesting

Amish book. It's almost like a drama on tv as you follow several characters with secrets, devious intentions, a hidden writer...twists and turns that are not expected.

Naomi King is like many people I know. It's not always to follow your heart or an impulse. Especially when you know your family won't approve....this is a big reason why she must keep eating antacid pills! Even visiting Tobe in prison.

Will Bethany and jimmy finally get married? Who is this guest that has shown up at the Inn? What will happen with Rose and Galen? They are not seeing eye to eye...and much more

Secrets definitely are revealed and I felt the author did a great job pulling it all together in the end. It didn't end how I hoped but it was very good. It certainly held my interest. I really liked Mrs. Miracle and enjoyed that it wasn't like every other Amish plot...refreshing.

I received this book from BookFun.org in exchange for my honest review.

Suzanne Woods Fisher excels at keeping her readers on their toes, and "The Revealing" is no exception, as it is filled with twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages! This book brings things full circle, as we learn more about Tobe and his past choices and about his father's death, and we watch the different characters grow in profound ways as they face down trials. The most amazing change occurs in Naomi, who starts off the series as somewhat of a mousy character, and yet by the end of this book is quite the strong woman indeed! I must admit that I love seeing those types of transformations, and Fisher does it in a natural and believable manner. All of the characters seem to live and breathe with life, and I so enjoyed getting to know them over these three books. I'm sure it sounds as if I feel these characters are real...and in some ways it does feel that way! My only complaint is that things are left somewhat hanging with Jimmy, a character I have admired since his appearance in the Stoney Ridge series. All I can say is that there had better be another appearance from Jimmy in a future Fisher book (hint, hint). But for many of the other characters, things resolve in a highly pleasing manner, as they experience a chance at love and at new beginnings, discovering how to become the wonderful people God has created them to be. I walk away from this novel having enjoyed the deep, godly wisdom that permeates the book, calling us to love the unloveable, to give of ourselves in a selfless manner, reminding us that "Love...does extraordinary things to people". The world would be a better place if we all loved with the kind of love we are shown in this book!

"The Inn at Eagle Hill" series has been given a permanent place on my shelf, because I plan to read these books again and again over the coming years. I thoroughly enjoyed "The Revealing" and award it 5 out of 5 stars.

This is book three in a series titled The Inn at Eagle Hill, an inn located in Lancaster County, PA. The story can be read alone, although if you have read the previous two books you will be familiar with the characters and past history. I loved the diverseness of the characters all with their own storyline, but intertwined with each other. The author does a wonderful job keeping each characters unique story flowing without losing the reader in the process. The Amish lifestyle is accurately portrayed in the setting and events that evolve. Life lessons are scattered throughout, along with the good and bad sides to human nature. The Amish principles of faith and family are strongly represented. Stoney Ridge is definitely a town to revisit time and time again. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author, knowing I will easily lose myself in the story and setting.
