Product Description

A loving king and queen present their daughter with a gift from God - her first kiss - to keep or to give away. The wise girl waits for the man who is worthy of her precious gift. Where is he and how will she ever find him? The surprising answer in this marvelous parable will touch the heart of parent and child alike.

The Princess and the Kiss beautifully portrays the ageless message that "love ... comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith" (1 Timothy 1:5 NIV).

Recommended for all ages, especially ages 6 and up.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am the wife of a composer/arranger/worship leader and mother of girls 4 and 7, whom I homeschool. This is my twelfth children's book to date.

What was your motivation behind this project?  As I was praying for my girls one night, I asked God how I could begin at their early ages to teach them the importance of their purity, the value of "saving themselves" for marriage. This story was God's answer to that prayer.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope other parents will find in this story the same answer for their children. I pray that this book will be an effective bridge to later discussions on sexuality, purity and marriage.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  As far as kids' books, I enjoy Beatrix Potter and Arnold Lobel. As far as authors of adult works, Jan Karon's testimony inspires me greatly. James Herriot is my all-time favorite author. I also enjoy Russian classics.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  This story is God's work. I was just an available pen.
