Rarely does a book grab me like this one did. Wow!!! I had no idea what to expect as I never heard of a Sin Eater before picking up this novel.

The story delves deep into the characters and creates a scene where you become one of the mountain's residents.

Cadi is a young girl who carries so much guilt that she is willing to do what others are too frightened to even consider. She not only struggles with wanting to ease her conscience but longs to receive the forgiveness of her family and wants to gain the love of her mother and father.

I have read many books by this author and have loved them all. This one, however, spoke to me more than the rest. Francine Rivers has been blessed with the ability to draw her readers into her stories and then releases them with a better understanding of the Christian faith. I learned so much about myself and have been given a new energy with a strong desire to share God's word with others around me.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who may need a lift in their spiritual journey. There is a strong message of faith and forgiveness that will surely speak to your heart. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. It's that good!

I love Francine Rivers. She gives us all kinds of subject matter. This one was especially good. It was recommended to me by a friend who also loved it. After reading it I gave it to a friend who called me and said it was one of the best books she has ever read (and she's a big reader). She has passed it on to another friend. My copy of this book has made the rounds. I won't ever get my copy back so I'm buying it again just to read again. Very hard to understand some of the negative reviews.

I have read this book twice and am thinking about buying it so I can read it any time I want. I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Cadi was so intent in getting her sins forgiven that she was willing to do anything to find a way. It also reminded me of how I felt when I first became a Christian. The thrill of knowing I was loved by God. So, I recommend it to anyone. It was a good book!

It is a wonder to what lengths people would go to cover their sins instead of bringing them to the altar of all-forgiving God. I loved this story and the movie that followed. Im happy to say that it is even translated in Russian and was playing on the radio a few months back. and i am not surprised by the publicity because even though it seems just a story of a little girl it is a huge eye-opener for all.
