Fantastically done! The characters were so real. You cheered for Cara from the get go and you hope and pray your own daughter finds her Ephraim some day. I really loved the story line. It was quite original and the setting, characters and plot were developed well. Great read. I can't wait to hear about book two and get a release date.

Cindy Woodsmall is an excellent author. This book was so interesting and I loved it. I liked how Cara escaped to the Amish, and even tho she faced much adversity, she came to know the Lord, learned to love the Amish way and found peace in serving the Lord and brought her daughter to that same knowledge. This book was very well written.

Very inspiring. It tells us that anyone can change once they see they need the Lord.

I found myself drawn in completely in the first pages of this new series. Cindy Woodsmall's writing speaks to my spirit and is more than a "good read". When Ephraim says "Be me to her" that is what I want to remember as I walk with the Lord.
