I really liked that it links scripture. I also enjoy the fact that it focuses on us taking care of what God has given us.

Too often, as a Christian, we focus so much on the spirituality and we forget that our bodies need attention, too. And that God wants us to be healthy so that we are physically able to do His will. After all, we know from the Bible that the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy by thief, we mean the devil but Jesus comes so we can have life in abundance (John 10:10). When our bodies do not function as it was created to function, then we are allowing the devil to steal our physical health.
Reading this book was a revelation to me particularly in the fact that we ask God for healing when we get sick but have we done enough to take care of the bodies He has given us?
This book is not just about eating well (food) and exercising regularly (fitness) two of the things we know very well to keeping physically fit but this book also talks about the very purpose why we need to be physically fit (faith) and overcoming negative and self-depreciating thoughts (focus) and how a little help from a friend (friend) can go a long way.
Truth to tell, everything that we do to lose weight or maintain our fitness will just be based on our willpower and without Gods help, itll be a bit harder especially for one like me who is not easily motivated to eat healthy and exercise regularly.
And mind you, everything that is in the book is practical and doable. I recommend that you read this book if one of youre goals for 2015 is to get physically fit but dont know how to start. Not only that, you may also hop over to their website to understand what this plan is about and to check on the five essential elements that are enumerated in the book.
Q: Is it worth getting both the Daniel Plan and the Daniel Plan Cookcook? Also, will a husband who is automatically skeptical of healthy foods, thinking they will upset is irritable bowel syndrome symptoms, find these recipes worth trying?
