    Review by Jill Williamson

    Jay and Lila and their archaeologist father, Dr. Cooper, enter the tombs of Anak in search of a missing coworker. Instead, they stumble onto a village where the people follow a bizarre religion. These Anakim people believe that Anak Ha-Raphah is their god and will destroy them if he becomes angry. And Dr. Cooper's meddling in the tombs has angered the god. But Dr. Cooper is not afraid. He must discover what became of his coworker and no false religion will stop him.

    Peretti is a genius storyteller. Even adults would enjoy these Cooper Kids Adventure classics that follow Dr. Cooper and his children as they explore this planet for history that proves the Bible is fact. As always, Peretti writes fast-paced, scary stories of good vs. evil. I enjoyed watching this mystery unfold. If you've never read a Cooper Kids book, I highly recommend them for readers ages 10 to adult.

    The beginning was an interest catcher for sure! And throughout the book, I held my breath as the Coopers traveled the tombs and tried to find out who Anak Ha-Raphah was. When the six-fingered clue came up, I thought I could see where the book was heading, but wasn't sure about the details. Definitely a well-written thriller that anyone would enjoy. There was a twist I didn't really see coming but maybe it was just me? :) I think I liked this one better than the first two, although all three are good!

    This was my second favorite of the Cooper Kids Adventures, but it was the one book that scared me the most. So I recommend not letting 10 or younger read it cause I got really scared but other than that its a GREAT book!

    I just finished getting the rest of the books in this series. My daughter (7) loves these books. Each chapter leaves her at a cliff hanger and she just can't wait till the next! She will start this book next week.

    this book was great! It is NOT too scary, it is awesome!! I love this book. I bet the reason those people thought is was too scary for their kids is because their kids are to young for these books. They are better for teenagers than for young kids. I read lots of Peretti's books. This is one of my favorites!!! :}
