Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  Since I was a child growing up in Kentucky, I'd rather sing than eat when I'm hungry. Even before I was born again and Jesus became my reason for singing at the age of 15, I was composing and singing songs. I'm now a grandmother and though not "performing" now, the love of making music is still there.

What was your motivation behind this project?  When I heard that The Collingsworth Family was including "Fear Not Tomorrow" on their project, I was totally surprised and delighted! I can think of no other group that I'd prefer to present this God given song to the world.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My constant prayer is that folks who hear the song will be just as inspired to totally trust God for ALL their tomorrows as I was when I first heard that phrase..."Fear not tomorrow...God is already there"! Whether it's a young parent wondering what's ahead for their children or a shut-in dreading another long and lonely day, my hope is that they will know that God is already there, preparing only the BEST for them as they rest in Him.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  The beautiful thing is that I had little to do with this project, since the song was composed in 1969. Although we were in the midst of the cold war, with the world wondering what might ignite the next world war, international conditions are even more uncertain now. God has orchestrated the timing of the release of the song and I praise Him for His Faithfulness in all things!

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My mother first influenced my life as I listened to her singing hymns as she rocked and nursed my siblings. I had a marvelous music teacher in junior high school from whom I learned the basics. My favorite composers are Beatrice Bush Bixler and John Peterson, and among today's artists are Babbie Mason and Kim Collingsworth.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Hearing from folks who've been blessed by the song's message continues to be a tremendous gift. Never did I dream those many years ago when I simply took dictation from Heaven that God would use for His Purpose the words and music that He so graciously gave.
