Jane of Cashmere5 Stars Out Of 5An Amazing Set of BooksJanuary 10, 2018Jane of CashmereQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I was most fortunate to purchase this set of books when Christian Book Distributors offered them on sale. I had wanted to add this set of books to my Christian library for years.
Always be sure to read your Bible first and foremost and then read the scriptures in these commentaries as it will give you the "back story" that is so very rich, interesting, and will enhance your understanding greatly in only the way that Pastor Wiersbe can compile it. It is a wonderful addition to my Christian library and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to learn more about what they are reading. -

The author knows the Bible well, including prophecy. Some features i like personally, are each book is an outline and contents, introductions, exposition, gives plently of references, talks abouts words, gives illastrations, ties scripture together, breaks scripture into blocks with a dark bold subheading which can be used as an outline running an entire book. If you are looking for a good set, this is it.

Former New AgerMid-Atlantic5 Stars Out Of 5Quality Set by WiersbeFebruary 20, 2015Former New AgerMid-AtlanticQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have enjoyed using some of Wiersbe's individual study books on the books of the Bible and was happy to discover these 6 volumes (at a good price) that contain those studies on all of the Bible books. The volumes are good quality; the pages are not thin but have a good thickness, and the print is not small. Each volume has a similar graphic but different color, with the cover indicating the first and last book covered in each volume. If you like Wiersbe, then this set is a great buy, and it will save you a lot of money from buying each individual study guide.
Wiersbe is a good go-to person for an overall commentary for private or group Bible study. I still think one should consult other commentaries, but Wiersbe is one of my favorites. He clearly holds Scripture in the highest regard and honors Christ in the way he writes. -
Sam5 Stars Out Of 5Straight forward & smoothJune 9, 2023SamQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Of the 3 commentary sets i have, I like Warren Weirsbe's the best! Warren was an awesome bible teacher, He does a great job of covering most all the scripture in this set (at least in what i have read in the set so far) He is easy to read & plain to understand, he has awesome insights & he has furthered my bible study tremendously!
I got my 3 commentary sets here on Christianbook and would rank them being the most helpful to me as such:
(1. Warren Wiersbe) (2. Matthew Henry.) & (3. J Vernon Magee)
The Matthew Henry set has the most info to glean from, however its written in 17th century English & uses some big words (its best for me to have dictionary nearby when reading MH) But for the serious Bible student this set has the most info & is a must have!
The J Vernon Magee set is rather spotty, not covering all the scripture, but he has some good insights.
I would recommend all 3 sets, as you will be blessed & enlightened by all 3 writers.
If i were putting together a library, or were on a budget this is how i would spend my money. Hope that helps -
Luke5 Stars Out Of 5Reborn ChristianJuly 26, 2019LukeI was very impressed with the literary style of the book and it has helped me understand and add to the many commentaries that I have, in understanding the Word. Unfortunately, the package was ripped apart by the local postal service.
I believe it was due to the labeling on the box. In my country, such obvious labeling will definitely attract scrutiny by the authorities. I will not go in-depth as to which country I am from but it is not a liberal nation when it comes to religion.
But I am blessed to have received it and have enjoyed reading it.
