This book is a life changer. I've lost track how many people I've recommended it to. Our church's Ladies Bible Study Group is truly enjoying and learning from it. So much day-to-day, honest wisdom. Was so disappointed when I read it the first time and came to the last chapter. Study Guide and DVD are great too. All are easy to read. Wish I'd read this years ago.

This is one of those books that you will want to hand out to your friends and loved ones. It may seem like a very simple concept at first, but Lysa really does an amazing job at mining the truths behind what we give our time to. It will definitely make you take a step back and consider what God's best yes is in your own life.

Do not ignore this book thinking it is just for mothers with children still at home....it is useful for any season of your life. It unexpectedly rocked my world with simple, easy-to-use tools to not only find time to pursue your dreams but to acquiring wisdom. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

At 52, I dont often read a book & learn an entirely new way of looking at something. Usually, books remind me of an area to work on or a stumbling block to avoid. but My Best Yes is a GAME CHANGER! i make decisions differently now. I keep the beautiful reminder cards from the back of the book near & reference them often. i have not only recommended this book to others I have purchased it as a gift for friends who want it but dont have it in their budget right now.. Love, Love, Love this book & the approach to decision-making it presents!

TerKeurst paints a picture of the everyday world, yet her painting is as messy and unkempt as my world. What I love most is that she doesnt stand on her soapbox for all to hear how great her life has been and how we should all be perfect, Proverbs 31 following women, but rather she tells (humorous at times) her tales of when she has not been perfect, yet how these situations have molded her as a woman of God.

The meat of the book, perhaps I should say overall theme, is how and when to say Yes and how to graciously say No without hurting feelings or feeling guilty. Since reading this book and something else is being added to my plate, I honestly sit back and reflect on if I can handle what is being given to me without stressing myself and my family. Because really, what good is it to take on something like the Angel tree at school if it is only going to cause conflict within my life? This thought goes great with one of my favorite quotes from the book, The woman who lives the stress of an overwhelmed schedule will often ache with the sadness of an underwhelmed soul. Wow what a great truth. Now, dont get me wrong. I firmly believe that such acts are noble, and we need people to fulfill such duties, but it doesnt have to be the same person to do everything!

This book is an easy read, mostly because I felt like I was sitting with a dear friend over coffee. At times, I could hear myself mentally saying things like, Oh, no she didnt! when she shared stories of being judged by her peers for dressing frumpy or not having time to volunteer for another church event. All in all, this book gives easy solutions to over committing yourself while in an attractive format. This book is a MUST for all the people pleasers out there
