MollysMomRichmond Hill, Ontario, CanadaAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great overview of the BibleAugust 16, 2016MollysMomRichmond Hill, Ontario, CanadaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Story, NIV: The Bible As One Continuous Story of God and His People. Hardcover.I purchased copies of The Story Bible specifically to give to some new believers who were intimidated by the thought of reading and understanding the complete Bible, but who wanted to gain an understanding of the essence of this incredible story. Written in a format and style that is comfortable for beginners (and all readers), The Story Bible has good chapter breaks that are natural resting spots to encourage reflection and discussion. The Story Bible also serves as a good refresher of many of the highlights of the complete Bible text for those already familiar with it; it does not and cannot replace the actual Bible, but the authors never intended it to do so.
The new believers that I gave the copies to were really pleased to have something they felt comfortable with and I intend to purchase more copies of The Story Bible to encourage more people to get to know, understand and cherish the Bible and all it stands for. -

jerry5 Stars Out Of 5The StoryJanuary 2, 2015jerryQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Story, NIV: The Bible As One Continuous Story of God and His People. Hardcover.I lead a sunday study group along with the DVD. This is a great book to give away for people who would like to read the Bible but for whatever reason have a hard time completeing it. It turly is the scripture taken word for word from the NIV translation, put in chornological order with no chapter or scripture numbers and narratives to make the transition from one story to the other. I HIGHLY recomend this book. When on sale i purchase as many as I can at the time and give away as the spirit leads. thank you for the very reasonable sale pricing.

Annie5 Stars Out Of 5Except for the paper it's printed on ....May 11, 2015AnnieQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Story, NIV: The Bible As One Continuous Story of God and His People. Hardcover.I wish I had found this Bible a long time ago. It's so easy to read. I find myself reading for longer periods of time because the story flows like .... a story. The selected Scripture readings make up the greater part of the Bible/book, but the brief summaries that fill in "in-between" make it a smooth flowing chronological story. Reading this Bible is a great way to get the BIG PICTURE in a condensed book.
My only complaint about this Bible is the quality of the paper they've used. It's not like typical Bible paper; it's something cheaper looking yet functional. I assume it was used to cut down on the cost. It's a lightweight book. The imitation leather cover looks nice. I would recommend this book despite it's quality. I very much enjoy reading The Story Bible.
