Author/Artist Review

Author: Jennie Bishop
Located in: Millington, MI
Submitted: November 01, 2004

Tell us a little about yourself.  I grew up on an Ohio soybean farm. I still live in the Midwest, and am now the mother of two and an active speaker on the subjects of purity and becoming all God wants us to be. My husband is a gifted worship leader and musician, and our family ministers to missionaries in Tanzania, Africa.

What was your motivation behind this project?  To provide an integrity/purity resource for boys with adventure and a villain that would be better at home on their shelves than a book with the word "princess" or "kiss" on the front! (smile)

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My prayer is that the parents and mentors who loved The Princess and the Kiss will discover a resource for boys that will help them move into the same productive, age-appropriate discussions on integrity and purity.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Shel Silverstein, Maurice Sendak, the parables of Jesus, Anold Lobel, Beatrix Potter, Rosemary Wells. In the adult world, James Herriot, Ken Gire, John Steinbeck, John Eldredge.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Please send your reviews in. I'd love to hear your comments on this new book!
