S Knox5 Stars Out Of 5Quality program; great effort=great rewardsJanuary 12, 2013S KnoxQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We began using Singapore math when our children were 5. Our children studied 3A and 3B when they were 7 years old. While that seems young, if one is diligent in working through the previous books, it is very possible to have gained the ability to learn at that rate. Note: Learning math facts through Classical Conversations was a tremendous benefit to our children as they studied Singapore Math. If CC isn't an option, you may wish to give though to learning skip counting songs or something like Kathy Troxel's multiplication fact songs. While this program has required much effort from both child and parent, we have also received great rewards (e.g., mathematical skills, understanding that we are "in this" together and don't quit, etc...). A healthy determination is required.

D. D.5 Stars Out Of 5June 25, 2010D. D.Excellent resource. We would give all the Singapore Math books 5 stars! The books are visually clear and easy to understand. I recommend taking the placement test to make accurate book selection. We did and ended up starting in a lower book that I thought we would, but quickly gained speed. Now our child is faster than a calculator and loves math!
