InHisGrip5 Stars Out Of 5Good Enough for Heaven?January 12, 2011InHisGripQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This little book is a no nonsense approach to the main theme of the Bible. It is well written, easy to read, and logical in its approach to what a lot of people deem a sensitive subject. The author has a very personal touch and comes across as a real, sincere, and humble man delivering a powerful message of hope. His message is not his own, but one delivered by God. The message is simply that no one can be, or ever will be "good enough" to find favor with God. Despite that fact, the world is full of "religions" that operate under the mistaken notion that it is possible to be "good enough" by adhering to a prescribed list of do's and don'ts. The author logically discusses why concluding that it is possible to be "good enough" is utterly unfair, and makes no sense at all. He goes on to discuss God's caring, self sacrificing solution to the problem.
Bottom line, this is the perfect little book for someone who needs a short, well written, common sense approach to a touchy subject. The author is straight forward, candid, and shares his thoughts with a sense of humor that is disarming.
This is a must have booklet. -
Mrs Joanne Mason5 Stars Out Of 5Incredibly 'tight' rebuttal of false way to heavenJanuary 3, 2011Mrs Joanne MasonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I use this to give to seekers or those who might be by using the stethoscope of the Holy Spirit. Andy's explanations are very tight and easy to understand and can overcome the intellectual and prideful stance of a strong atheistic or agnostic position. Excellent.

Doug DCharleston ILAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Outstanding!November 17, 2010Doug DCharleston ILAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Andy Stanley gives a great argument for grace – that salvation is God's gift to us rather than anything we do to earn it. In some sense, I've heard everything he says before. But his choice of examples and his choice of words are fresh and new and clear and great.
We've given away twenty or so copies of this book. This and Lee Strobel's "The Case for Christ" make wonderful gifts – to Believers or Nonbelievers!
