This book gives a look at Psalm 23 that opens one's eyes. It is beautifully written from the standpoint of a sheep who loves and appreciates his shepherd. We see the love and the sacrifice that the Shepherd makes to care for and protect his sheep. Often we think of this passage as something to be read at funerals, instead we should look at it as the daily care our Shepherd gives each of us as we LIVE as His sheep. Phillip Keller changed my perspective on this Psalm and my view of myself as one of the sheep of His pasture. Everyone should read this book.

this is one of my alltime favoriets. I purchased these for give away. we had sheep at one time and i am of the opinion that anyone wanting to go into ministrey should have to raise a small flock. if they could learn to handle and love it, there would be no problem with the human flock.

What an excellent read. When one reads about shepherds and sheep in scripture after reading this book it has new, deeper meaning. Everyone should read this book, whether a sheep or shepherd.

I bought several copies of this book as Christmas gifts for friends. It is my favorite book and I think the condensed copy is good, showing the thoughts behind the phrases of Paalm 23. The Mass Market Edition was good to give people who don't have the time to read the whole book but could still benefit from the lessons contained in it. My friends liked it as well, and it has deepened their understanding of Our Good Shepherd.
