Bought this for my grandson for Christmas and he will be learning the basic shapes and "not so basic" shapes while he is having fun playing with it. This toy is made looking through a child's eyes and is top quality in materials and workmanship and is very durable.

I purchased this item for my 10 month old grandson who is not quite ready for shapes yet but will be

in the near future. The item arrived in great condition and seems quite durable and will stand up

to anything. Will give this toy to him for his 1 year birthday. Dad and Mom can decide when the time comes.

I love this toy. I haven't had any problem with chipping paint in the 3 years I've had it, though, they do "color" a little on the wooden box when the kids get enthusiastic. The only issue I had is that it is a complex box. It's not just a square, circle, heart and triangle. It has a hexagon and an octagon and a diamond and a rhombus. I think my daughter (at 4) is finally really getting it, and my little guy (almost 2) likes to play with it, but can't sort the shapes, and tends to get frustrated when he tries. It's a great toy, but better for preschoolers than babies.
