vtvolsFair Haven, VTAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Here's the rest of the story all in one place.October 16, 2011vtvolsFair Haven, VTAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you're a Catholic who is tired of being beaten over the head by atheists, secularists, protestants, ex-Catholics and even - heaven forbid! - other Catholics with the "truths that everyone knows" about the Church that aren't true, this is at long last the book you have been waiting for someone to write. Whether it's the Galileo incident, the utter corruption of the Church at the time of the Reformation, the Church's incompatibility with science, you'll find the facts that undercut the legends in this fast-paced easy read by Diane Moczar. You'll want to own several to pass around.

Dick HarfieldSydney NSWAge: Over 65Gender: male1 Stars Out Of 5A disappointing readJanuary 8, 2014Dick HarfieldSydney NSWAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 1Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1This surprisingly small book is too selective in its use of material to be a history in the traditional sense. It sets up seven views, or lies, about Catholicism in order to shoot them down, although it seems consistently to fail in this. Aimed at the teenage market, its stated objective is to allow Catholics to win debates with non-Catholics on Catholic history. This book is not really intended for readers who want to know more about the non-Catholic understanding of the Church, but a reader with strongly held beliefs will find much to like in it.

Marlys1 Stars Out Of 5Seven Lies About Catholic HistoryDecember 22, 2022MarlysValue: 1Meets Expectations: 1Do not buy. She makes a lot of false claims with no proof. You can find proof from the Catholic Church even that some of her myths are false. The church is now trying to atone for having slaves by paying their descendents.
