Seasons of Tomorrow is Cindy Woodsmall's 4th book in the Amish Vines and Orchards series. This was another book of hers that I found hard to put down. I kept wanting to know what would happen. I have grown attached to the characters and was happy to finally get a chance to read this series finale.

I am thankful for the recap of each book at the beginning of the book because I do tend to forget some of the details.

Orchard Bend Farms has been in operation for a year now. With a lot of hard work from Rhoda, Leah, Landon, Samuel, Steven and his wife Phoebe, and Iva, it will become a very successful orchard. A few new Amish families have moved to the area and try to help with the orchard when they can. Leah and Landon have started a forbidden relationship and once her father found out about it, he is not pleased one bit. Leah has not yet become a baptized Amish yet and is not sure if she ever will. More issues come out because of her love for Landon Olson.

Samuel and Rhoda's relationship keep grown stronger and their love for each other grows each day. Jacob left the farm since his and Rhoda's relationship ended. He is off on different construction jobs around the country; never seeming to be ready to settle down.

This book has romance, tragedy, reunions, choices to make, and so much more. I was sad to see this book and series end. You should pick up a copy and read it for yourself to see where each character ends up at the end.

I have received this e-book for free from the Blogging for Books program in return for my honest review.

I selected this book from the bloggingforbooks.com program, in exchange for an honest review.

In the past I have really enjoyed reading Cindy Woodsmall's books, but when I came upon The Winnowing Season, I was a disappointed. Only because Rhoda confused me. But you need to understand, I came into this series at book 2, so I missed the introductory of her and the King family. By book 2, I was trying to get caught up. This book, I discovered I missed book 3, however catching up with what was going on in Book 4 wasn't difficult. Especially with her fairly entailed synopsis at the beginning of the book. Are you confused yet? I hope not!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, found myself finishing it in the early dusk hours this evening. This book is what I expected from Cindy Woodsmall. I was lost in the characters and eager to know the outcome. To be honest, I wasn't sure what the outcome of the events were going to be, but was both pleased and surprised by the less that predicted events. There were three stories, no four, that were intertwined in this last book. For the most part, they are tied up and completed and for that I was grateful. I could see perhaps how in the future there could be a continuation, but for now...all questions were answered to the what if's.

Cindy Woodsmall does not disappoint. This is the second series of books that I have reviewed. Each one is rich in the Amish culture, yet shows ingenious adaptation without using electricity. Relationships with the Englischers both aids and disrupt their plain lifestyle. Jacob, Samuel, and Leah King have a rich heritage as apple growers to uphold. Rhoda, her brother Steven, and his wife Phoebe play a huge role in the success of the Orchard Bend Farm and are key characters of this fourth book appropriately named Seasons of Tomorrow. The Amish Vines and Orchards series is a wonderful read and perfectly linked from the first book through the last. Rhoda's unique gift of intuition is still misunderstood by the head of the King family, but God has his hand on this family throughout their trials. An added bonus was the happy ending for Camilla, the English neighbor who sheltered Rhoda when she previously had to move off the farm. I received this book from Blogging for Books and WaterBrook Press for an honest review.

Seasons of Tomorrow by Cindy Woodsmall is the 4th installment in the Amish Vines and Orchard series. This series studies the working and living lives of the King and Byler families as they learn to live together in the same house as well as work together establishing a new Amish settlement and apple business. They would grow closer together as well as learn to work together. They make some of the rules for the new settlement but are constantly being interfered with by the caring as well as jealous involvement of their former settlement. They have no bishop and so mostly rely on the religious advise of their pastor Stephen Byler. Their former settlement have people who jealously regarded them and they now know that they have within their midst an informer who regularly reports to any indiscretions no matter how slight. Since they have no idea who this person is they must be careful whenever they may stray from their roots no matter how good their reasoning is. Rhoda has future insights which come to her at inopportune moments. She knows that at sometime in the future that the settlement will have to deal with the loss of one of their females. She feels that it will be either Phoebe, who is pregnant with her and Stephen's 4 child, or Lydia who is rapidly getting more involved with an Englisher man who is an integral part of the business and one that they would like to bring in as a partner. Phoebe and Stephen have recently lost their last child and Lydia is one of the sisters in the King family and has been ostracized in their former settlement because of her ideas which don't include joining the church though she is rapidly approaching the age of the decision. Rhoda has been ostracized by the settlement for "practicing witchcraft" because of her visions of the future of which she has no control and tries to ignore whenever possible. When Phoebe develops an H1N1 pneumonia and Rhoda starts seeing her in the corners of her vision holding the baby she is so afraid that her friend and her baby will die. The hospital has Phoebe in a drug induced coma to improve the chances of survival of both baby and mom but the hospital personnel still don't hold out much hope. Phoebe is covered in prayer in the King settlement, in the old settlement of Harvest Mills as well as in the hospital. The group decides to break the rules once again so that they can tape the voices of Phoebe's children so that if Phoebe can hear she can hear their voices in her room. Will all of this be enough? Read this book to find out.

I loved this book as I have loved all of the Vines and Orchards series. I hope that Ms Woodsmall has a plan for a future installment. This book is excellent reading for any girl or woman of any age.

I have just said goodbye to an awesome series and a bunch of friends that I am sad to leave. This being the fourth and final book in the Amish Vines and Orchards stories and knowing the end is here, I hating turning the last page.

When the story reopens where is Jacob now? A continuing question throughout the books, and yes this will be answered. Leah is still struggling and now the Maine Community knows that she is keeping company with an Englischer, Landon . Landon has been Rhoda's right hand man, coming from PA with them, and he has a local connection of his Grandmother. He was actually instrumental in having this Community move to Maine.

There are some heart breaking and tragic events here, and we are on pins and needles waiting and hoping. The orchard work is consuming, and there are fewer and fewer workers to help. It gets to the point where you wonder if they are going to fail and all move back to PA where it all began. Some of the things that you might want to happen do, but maybe not the way you want. As with the other books, these people put their trust in God, and let his will prevail.

Saying goodbye is not easy, we have come to love and visit with these people, who have become like family. Wouldn't it be great to be able to have a continuing relationship with fictional people, ah if only? I would choose to keep visiting with these dear people. Hope you will pick up this series and come to know them well!! Enjoy!
