MaureenTSyracuse NYGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5WWIIJuly 15, 2021MaureenTSyracuse NYGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Saving Amelie - eBook. You may need the tissues handy, this book will grip you and not let go, and all the while I'm wondering how can some people be so cold hearted?
Through the eyes of the author we find those who are willing to give everything to help save another life. Why, is this happening, there are many answers and we will probably never know why some would do the evil that they do, but there are those who really live their faith, and we are there to see their ultimate sacrifice.
Be sure to read the author's notes at the end of this book, I love how the author put so much truth and actual people in this read.
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Tyndale, and was not required to give a positive review. -
Cindy5 Stars Out Of 5Saving AmelieAugust 30, 2020CindyWhat a powerful story! It truly painted a picture of many behind the scenes horrible happenings during the war.A line that struck me most was how Jason remarked on how could a Christian country as his, not object to the Nuremberg laws and the effect on the Jewish people.... So many aspects, even after the countless books I have ,that still impacted me when I learned. This book is a "keeper" as well:) She is a favourite author.....

CassandraMaineAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5great bookMarch 9, 2015CassandraMaineAge: 18-24Gender: femaleI really enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting to read about the differences and similarities of a set of twins that had been raised very differently. I also liked reading about the courage of the people who helped those who were oppressed and killed by Hitler.

Kara LynnWVAge: 18-24Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Worth the read!August 28, 2014Kara LynnWVAge: 18-24Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Amelie is deaf and and Hitler wants her and all those like her destroyed. Hitler only wants certain people to continue to live and that doesn't include Amelie! Her mother turns to her best friend Rachel to get Amelie out of Germany, but will Rachel risk all to help those who need it? She must turn to Jason Young for help, but it's dangerous what they're trying to do! The Nazis are after them, and it will take more courage then anyone feels that they have! Rachel will have to reach inside herself as she learns more about who she really is and the God who made her.
This book was a little hard to follow at times, but the over-all story line had me hooked from the start. I got to see what it was like for Germans during the time of Hitler, and from the views of different people living in Germany, which isn't often seen in these type of books. It was a very good and inspirational read - one for older teens because of the tougher subjects and the plot, but well worth your time! My Mom read it as well and loved it!
