Both of these are great movies. Hidden Secrets is one of my favorite movies! Sometimes we as Christians come across to non-Christians this way. We serve an Awesome & Forgiving God. He knows we are not perfect and still loves and forgives us! We also think that other people's sins are worse than our own. In God's eyes; sin is sin. It separates us from fellowship with Him. This is a must see movie!!!! Thank you Lord for being a Perfect God & seeing us through Your Son's blood!
Rebecca St. James is a great actress! My applause to her in Sarah's choice. The story lines in both movies were fine, but somehow the movies lacked that wow factor that would make me want to buy it as gifts for others. They were nice clean films and though the messages were great in both, they just seemed to lack something.
Sarah's choice is an excellent commentary on the subject of abortion. Rebecca St. James, Andrea Logan White, Brad Stine, in fact, the whole cast, excellent and believeable acting. Great story line. Good surprize ending....Hidden Secrets: good commentary on the reality of actually living the Christian life and some of the things people struggle with (and hide), contrasted with the man they all gather to memorialize, who lived his life solidly, to help those who found it more difficult to keep their faith commitment. Interesting mix of characters, including one who is purposely shown to have a very judgemental spirit (many of her comments are true, but lose 'their' truth in her harshness), and a skeptic of Jewish ethnicity, who is more drawn to Christ by seeing Christians being real than their verbal witness about Him. Good music, acting, and some very funny moments. Some upsetting comments about stem cell research, but fits with the characters who are discussing it. There is a scene at an oldies club where they all go for 'old times sake'. May turn some believers in Christ off, but it is done in such a way that it fits the story line and the film does'nt seem to condone the whole club mentality. Good (3 and a half stars), but not as good as Sarah's Choice (5 stars). Good double feature, though. Pureflix is a good company. : )
