Sara5 Stars Out Of 5March 29, 2010SaraThis is a well-done Easter story cartoon. It feels more like you're watching a movie than a cartoon because of the orchestral soundtrack and sound effects such a crackling torches. It is slower-paced without being boring for older children. It's rated for 3-7 year olds. I think the preschool crowd might get a little bored watching the whole thing, but it is divided into 6 chapters so you could show just a portion for younger children. You could show the crucifixion and resurrection scenes together which are only 8 min long. Glad I bought it!

church ladyRedwood City, CAAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Great children's videoApril 27, 2011church ladyRedwood City, CAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I previewed 4-5 Christian Easter videos and decided to use this one to show to the Preschool and Kindergarten children on Easter Sunday. I was pleased with the quality and animation for this age group. Before viewing it, some parents expressed concern over how the Crucifixion would be portrayed, as they thought it might be too disturbing for the children, but they were happy with the video. The video emphasizes Peter's betrayal of Jesus, and his restoration after the Resurrection. I thought the way this issue was treated in the video might have been over the heads of this age group. I appreciated how the video continues the story through Jesus' Ascension. It seems to me that many of us focus merely on the Resurrection at Easter, and fail to teach the children about the length of time Jesus spent on Earth following the Resurrection, and the number of people who saw and spoke to him up and until His Ascension. This time period is also an important part to the gospel story and was included in the video story. I thought the ending was hopeful and well thought out, with Jesus giving the Great Commission to the disciples, and the narrator telling viewers that Jesus has gone to heaven to prepare a place for us, and will come again. The animation is similar in style to "Bob the Builder" videos which is familiar to this age group. I would highly recommend this video for children.
