Product Description

Do you remember what made the Good News good? When you first become a Christian, joy overflows from your heart and God feels so near because you've connected with the grace of God for the first time. But often as time goes on that feeling of freedom subsides, and a sense of duty and obligation replace the joy. The Christian church has often added to this confusion by making believers feel that they must do and be certain things to earn God's approval.
Pure Grace by Clark Whitten aims to abolish the walls that separate you from God's unlimited, unconditional love. By addressing un-Biblical attitudes and assumptions about grace, Whitten reveals it for the beautiful, perfect gift of God that it is. Pure Grace is the gateway to becoming a fruitful, mature, and joyous disciple.

Publisher's Description

Understanding the Logic of Grace

Self-effort and behavior modification that many Christians live under is a lie that has demoralized and defeated the church for centuries. A revelation of grace brings liberty!

"Grace is too good to be true!" It does seem too good to be true. But it is true! Liberty, freedom, joy, spiritual passion, hope, and a host of other benefits result from a revelation of grace. Spiritual revival is crucial for a maturing believer—and understanding grace is part of that process.

"Some statements and concepts in this humble attempt to explain the nearly unexplainable may shock your religious sensibilities, but please hear me out. I have been teaching and learning these biblical truths for decades, and they have dramatically improved my life and the lives of many others," writes author and Pastor Clark Whitten.

Intriguing and thought-provoking chapter topics include:
·         Are Christians Under the Law?
·         Where on Earth Does God Live?
·         Like Rats in a Maze
·         Two Unchangeable Things
·         The Next Great Awakening
·         Saved Completely

Pure Grace is the gateway to becoming a fruitful, mature, and joyous disciple. Being a child of God can be fun and exciting again! Remember?

Editorial Reviews

"Pastor Clark Whitten writes from a depth of experience, strong scholarship, and prophetic revelation about grace.   This book is simply profound.   Clark looks at the profound implications of God’s grace in a simple, down to earth way. These pages are both challenging and understandable. I don’t know anyone who would say they truly understand the vastness of God’s grace. Clark gets as close as I’ve seen." —E. Wayne Drain, Senior Pastor, Fellowship of Christians

"Nothing has transformed every part of who I am and what I do like grace.  One man has helped me understand it in a way that has made a profound difference, altering the course of my life, my walk with Christ, and my ministry: Clark Whitten.  Everything he has taught me over the last 16 years is now in this incredible book, Pure Grace.  I'm begging you to read it, apply it, and live it.  It will make all the difference in the world.  To say that I recommend it is the understatement of the century." —Alan Chambers, President, Exodus International

"Over the past 28 years of our friendship, I have heard Clark preach many sermons on grace. It has set me free and allowed me to understand and experience God in new and greater ways. Reading this book will change your life. You will never be the same." —Jimmy Evans, Founder and CEO, Marriage Today; Senior Pastor, Trinity Fellowship Church, Amarillo, Texas
