I purchased this book because I have always loved Max Lucado's writing, and because the book was small and priced very low. I was very pleased with the prayers themselves, but especially with the introduction. It was worth the price just for that! In it Max describes his own struggles with praying, and I could totally relate. He then lays out a simple yet profound synopsis of the Lord's prayer and how it provided us with a simple template for prayer that takes the mystery out of the process and makes it easy to communicate with our Heavenly Father. The prayers that follow in the book use this template and show how a lot can be said in a few words. I love how each one incorporates a prayer for others - our friends and family- as well for ourselves. We so often focus our prayers on ourselves and our own needs and forget to consider the needs of others. Thanks, Max, for this insightful little book of prayers.

This little pocket treasure is just that, a gold mine! I am extremely satisfied with this booklet. I have along commute, so I carry it in my purse and pray each morning out of it. The little prayer in the introduction, God, you are good. I need help, is said many times a day. I just started a new job where I struggle and this prayer is saving my life and lifting my frustration. All the prayers in the book touch my spirit and I feel they were written just for me. I need help and I pray often for others. These prayers of intercession for others as well as myself fit my life completely.

When I saw this I immediately thought of my daughter.. She prays on her way to work, and really enjoyed this book.

I also got one for myself, which I really haven't used yet, but have no doubt I will love it also..God Bless

I enjoyed having those prayers in my pocket. It helps me when I need a prayer to help me through the day.I love Max's way of teaching us how to pray. There are alot of us who struggle at praying.

This is a very good prayer book especially if you have trouble with praying.
