Tenny5 Stars Out Of 5Surprisingly WonderfulNovember 22, 2014TennyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Piercing the Darkness. The author mentions that he had more time to write this particular book in the "darkness duo," and it shows. Unlike the first, which drew the reader in immediately, the plot of this story starts slow and quiet. It builds like a symphony, until all at once the the reader is caught up in the crescendo of the climax. Definitely push past the first slow chapters; you will be rewarded as the story progresses and the mystery and suspense grow. As with the first, the sequel is full of themes about faith, salvation, truth and light in a dark world, and a great reminder that we don't stand alone in our faith.

FaithFictionFactandFluffCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5It'll open your eyes to a whole other worldMay 19, 2013FaithFictionFactandFluffCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Reading "This Present Darkness" opened my eyes to a world more real then my own. When I found the sequel, I knew I had to continue my journey.
Frank Peretti has created a masterpiece that is essential to the spiritual life. Warfare is a reality that so many deny or hide from, but the truth is that it is a battle that we are all a part of whether we realize it or not.
Filled with strong characters and a plot that keeps you guessing, it's a story you won't regret reading.
Highly recommended whether you're a fan of thriller type books or not. You don't need to read them in order, they are separate stories connected only in the spiritual realm. Great for mature teens as well as adults. -
Linda Carroll5 Stars Out Of 5Recomended for any body who reads, excellent life changingMarch 17, 2017Linda CarrollQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Had bought this book and the previous volume over 10 years ago. Shared them with friends bought more copies just to give away when opportunity arises. A friend who had read it years ago and passed it on asked if I remembered the names so she could get copies to pass on this year. The books have awesomely good effects on the readers. That often extend to affect others. Excellent books. If I live long enough I will buy more to give and even some of Frank Perreti's other books. Though these 2 are his best. My only wish is that he be able to write more.

RICHARD HOLTClovis, NMAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5One of the most important fictional books ever.April 9, 2011RICHARD HOLTClovis, NMAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Piercing the Darkness. This book is great (as is its prequel) . I had to keep reminding myself it was fiction. The story is compelling. It is hard to put down. It is built upon sound Biblical teaching but doesn't feel overly preachy. Who would have thought a fictional work would help so many people better understand what Spiritual warfare is all about? I have read this book several times and highly recommend it.
